Welcome to my new dev-blog. I’d like to start with a copy paste of my about page, to strech this post a little bit:

I’m a geek since childhood, willing to study bioinformatics in future. I’m spending most spare time on PC, idleing in Jabber/ICQ while either programming some smaller software and web projects or playing around with operating systems and stuff. Aside from that, I’m kind of hooked on massive multiplayer online games – but you’ll probably won’t see articles on that.

I’m using Windows, Linux and Mac OS X for doing my work and – despite the fact, having a MacBook, I am an open source enthusiast. I’ll use this blog mainly contributing thoughts on development, computers and stuff like that. I am also thinking of starting some open source projects to steady programming knowledge for study and use the blog to release/tease/comment them. I’ll try to keep personal/real life articles within bounds.

As you’ve probably noticed, I am not a native english speaker – feel free to remind me of errors.

In the beginning, you’ll probably won’t see that much, I’m focused on doing the technical stuff in the blog (template, plugins). At the moment, there are no big open source projects I’m on – the last bigger one, a CMS in PHP, leaded to a dead end. I’ll probably work on it on some subsequent date.

I’m currently learning Java. I’ve years of knowledge, playing around with Objective C, C, C++ and a lot of web scripting language – but I’ve actually never done some work in Java. To eliminate the weak point, I’m thinking of starting a java project (Well, as I am developing on 3 platforms simultaneously, it might be a good choice to work in Java).
